If selling the property without a realtor, the Seller must set the set the sale price, handle the open houses, phone calls and questions about the property, and possibly even draft the contract. This can be a rather daunting task if you have not sold a home before. If a Seller is not using a realtor, the Seller needs the assistance of an attorney.
Sale with a Realtor. If a Seller decides to use a realtor, the realtor will assist in setting a selling price for the home that is reasonable after completing a market analysis, set up the open houses and all viewings of the property, negotiate the selling price and provisions of the contract, etc.
